Biography

My name is Ashley, and I am a Clinical Social Work Intern with seven years of dedicated and compassionate experience in the field. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic alliance with each client, ensuring that they feel understood and supported throughout the therapy process. Together, we will work on setting meaningful goals, and I will tailor my therapy approach to best suit individual needs. My experience in the social work field has equipped me with a strong foundation in social work principles and versatile skills that extend to supporting a wide range of clientele, including children and teens. This diverse background enables me to approach therapy with a comprehensive and inclusive perspective, ensuring that I can provide effective and compassionate support to individuals of all ages.

With a deep commitment to empowering clients on their journey to improved mental health and well-being, I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. I look forward to working collaboratively with you to achieve positive growth and meaningful change in your life.

Clinical Interests

I have a genuine passion and dedication to improve the well-being of children and older adults. I work to create a safe and supportive environment that creates trust and empowers children and adults to explore and express themselves freely.

Clinical Approach

I believe in fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship. It is important to help support clients to discover their strengths. My approach is predominantly focused on encouraging self-discovery and helping them find their own answers. I really believe that clients are the best experts of their own lives, and my role is to guide and support them in their journey. I am open to implementing a variety of therapy styles dependent upon the client’s needs. I am interested in play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Play therapy allows children to express themselves, process their experiences, and develop coping skills in a developmentally appropriate manner. CBT helps clients to identify and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, promoting positive change.

Hobbies

I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.
