Biography

Isabel works hard to meet the client where they are at. This can look like bringing unique techniques into session and providing clients with the tools to support their wellbeing between sessions. She specializes in working with children and adolescents and partners with their guardians. Building rapport and a firm therapeutic relationship is top priority and oftentimes can look like bringing fun activities into therapy or introducing clients to her dog, Millie.

Clinical Interests

Isabel is passionate about working with children (8+) and adolescents who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, behavioral outbursts, as well as other challenges. In the past, she has worked closely with school districts and takes particular interest in transitions and adjustments that are school related as well as school-avoidant behaviors. Isabel also takes particular interest in working with children and adolescents who need extra support finding their personal narrative in this hectic world.

Clinical Approach

When Isabel is working with children (8+) and adolescents she partners with their guardian(s) as well since this is the best way to promote growth. She utilizes elements of play therapy and psychoeducation to provide guardians the tools they need to support their child’s emotional well-being. With adolescents, Isabel focuses on emotional regulation and communication skills to help them navigate life’s challenges and take charge of their life. Isabel is passionate about working with all humans to find and better understand their unique understanding of life. Isabel’s goal is to create a sanctuary with her clients where they feel safe to be their authentic selves. By partnering with guardians, we can work together to help children and adolescents bring what they learn in therapy into their everyday lives.

Hobbies

Isabel enjoys time outside, binge watching the newest Netflix series, and spending time within her community. If you want to get off-task in session, ask Isabel about her dog, Millie!
