Biography

I chose to pursue social work because I really enjoy helping people AND in a variety of different settings and ways. I knew that this field would allow for me to get my cup filled in many different ways within my career if I wanted it to. Whether it be from case management to therapy, this field is versatile. I know that I’m someone who likes to meet new and different types of people, so this field would be the best fit for me. I strive to maintain a strengths based mindset while meeting clients where they’re at. I want clients to know that we are both working toward the same therapeutic goal. I like to utilize a direct approach but does so in a lighthearted way that allows for a space that feels safe and productive.

Clinical Interests

Much of Victoria’s experience has been working with adults who have experienced serious and persistent mental illnesses, but most recently she has had some practice with children learning to manage their trauma history along with learning to navigate a recent mental health diagnosis.

Clinical Approach

I will always ask you how I can ensure that you’re the most comfortable when meeting with me when it comes to your identity and how we can best tailor your experience in that way. You know you best, so I think it’s important for you, as the client, to tell me what it is you’re needing from me when it comes to your identity. I’m always willing to help you explore what that could mean and what that could look like as well, however (at your own pace). I  have a passion for digging into the historical systems that may have or may currently be affecting her clients. I also likes to focus on symptom management while navigating any difficult topics during (and not during) therapy.

Hobbies

Victoria has a close relationship with her family and friends, to which she enjoys doing most of her hobbies with. She enjoys reading, playing board games, playing cards, going for walks and hiking. Victoria also knows an embarrassing amount about the TV show, Friends.
